About

HamSchoolers’ founder, Eva Tang (KC7EVA), is an Amateur Extra class operator that has been looking to unite more young ham operators via a digital WIRES-X room.

Our DTMF room ID is 08631, join us through Yaesu WIRES-X!

“I made this because ham radio has been around for a while, but I want more student-aged operators to join. I wanted to find somewhere I could meet other young people and make connections around the world, and I’m sure other young operators would benefit from a student room.”

About KC7EVA

Hi! My name is Eva, I’m a high school student in Maryland, USA. I’m in my school’s engineering program, and have been interested in engineering/radio since I can remember! I got my Technician license at age 8, and got my General and Extra licenses at age 14. I use them mainly for community service events like the Marine Corps Marathon held in DC every year. Outside of radio, I can be found playing tennis, reading, or spending time with friends. Glad you’re here, and contact me for questions, suggestions and ideas!
